More than counting steps, Personal Generated Health Data (PGHD) enables providers to monitor and interpret patient health patterns over time. As a result, providers are seeing the benefits and incorporating PGHD into their workflows. Increasingly more health systems are investing in remote monitoring solutions and analytics as part of their population health management strategy. At the same time government policies, new legislation, financial incentives and open data standards -- such as the Continua Design Guidelines -- are being implemented to expand access to patient data. The PCHAlliance announced last month a new program called Continua Compliant. This new program enables any organization to self-declare compliance to the Continua Design Guidelines (and all freely available). See press release here.
