Digital Therapeutics: The Next Frontier in Treatment and Prevention

At this deep dive event exploring the new frontier of digital therapeutics, DTx pioneers will share their experiences in creating, validating, and obtaining FDA approval for digital therapies. Presenters will discuss key factors in development and rollout, such as assessing market opportunities, UX and design, product positioning and working with pharmaceutical and/or traditional medical device companies. The agenda will also address market acceptance of the notion that digital products can provide therapeutic benefit as a first-line treatment, adjuvant or preventative therapy, and approaches for gaining acceptance by providers, payers and patients. The program will also feature commentary on research a joint research initiative by the Personal Connected Health Alliance, the Consumer Technology Association and Ipsos Healthcare to understand the current state and direction of the field of digital therapeutics, and to explore potential opportunities for new developments in the future.  During HIMSS18, PCHAlliance will host The Connected Health Experience, an interactive pavilion depicting personal connected health that will include a walk-through, ‘digital therapeutics frontier’ in which attendees can experience DTx-driven healthcare of the future. The Connected Health Experience is designed as a place to absorb the most cutting-edge technologies, designs, partnerships and patient experiences available today, and to glimpse the highly personalized, connected future of health through the eyes of visionary individuals, companies and organizations.
