* Continua Test Labs will conduct testing using the version of the Test Tool indicated by the vendor in the Certification Application. Continua recommends that this version be the latest version of the Certification Test Tool available.  However, at the discretion of the member company a previous version of the Test Tool may be used for a period of 90 days after an updated version of the Certification Test Tool has been released. This allows the member company a buffer if they have been preparing for certification with a specific version of the test tool.  The 90 day period applies to the time between the release of a new version of the Test Tool and the date certification testing begins.  Vendors are not allowed to switch Test Tool versions in the middle of an already started certification pass.

For example, Test Tool v2.0 was released on Nov 13, 2012. Continua members may use this version or the earlier v1.5.4 until Feb 10, 2013. On Feb 11, 2013, all Continua Certifications must use v2.0.

See the Review thConformity Assessment Scheme by Continua (CAS by Continua) and the Conformity Assessment Test Procedures (CATP) for more info.
