New Task Force Model Tackles Key Topics in Personal Connected Health

Nov 20, 2018

The Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHAlliance) aims to accelerate technical, business, policy and social strategies necessary to advance personal connected health. To this end, we have created a new task force business model that focuses on trending industry issues in connected health. The selected topics were developed by organizational leadership, audience influence and, most importantly, member input – all based on PCHAlliance's mission.  Task force participation and content areas provide tangible benefits and results for membership, as the agenda for each task force is defined by our members.

The purpose of each task force is to outline PCHAlliance's position on the topic, as well as the intended impact on personal connected health, and the challenges being addressed, which can be directly tied to policy. Task Force Chairs are identified from member organizations and each task force will be comprised of 10-12 individuals from our member organizations, as well as a small number of key, non-member opinion leaders. Task forces will continue for a period of one year through June 2019.

The following task forces are launching in 2018:

Digital Therapeutics - Advance digital solutions as a prescription substitute or adjunctive for traditional prescription therapy.

Aging and Technology - Finding ways personal connected health can optimize aging by keeping people vital, engaged and independent; improve the management of chronic diseases; and support caregivers.

Blockchain - Provide thought leadership, education, advocacy and tangible strategies for companies looking to re-imagine their business models around this transformational technology.

Innovation – Engage in research, advocacy and outreach to promote connected health innovation and adoption; provide members with up-to-the-minute information and a vision for the future to inform business strategy; and maintain a thought leadership position for PCHAlliance.

We look forward to making an impact with these task forces and encourage you to engage with PCHAlliance.
