Catalonia is Advancing Open Standards for Personal Health Devices

The government is integrating personal glucose meters into the electronic health record system based on Continua specifications

Catalonia, the autonomous community in northeast Spain with about 7.5m people, last month announced new requirements that personal glucose meters need to meet to connect with the region’s electronic health record system. These new requirements are based on PCHAlliance’s Continua Design Guidelines.
