Health & Fitness Service: Delivery of PHMR Using XDR

The Healthcare Information System (HIS) Interface provides for the electronic exchange of health records employing an HL7-based PHMR.  The PHMR is defined by HL7 to carry personal healthcare monitoring information to electronic medical record systems and includes representation of measurements captured by devices.  The PHMR is used by Continua to communicate patient information based on a collection of one or more PCD-01 messages. The CDG specifies the transport of these reports using IHE XDS or ONC DIRECT.

The primary deliverable of this project is source code, along with the associated build, validation, and regulatory artifacts, that when used can implement the delivery of a PHMR using XDR to a Health Information Service as defined in the H.813 Health Information System Interface Continua Design Guidelines. Documentation, tests, and test reports used during developing of the source code will be leveraged and packaged to the extent practical to facilitate regulatory approvals.

The PCHAlliance has developed a DRAFT Request For Information to implement the Continua Design Guidelines PHMR over XDR Capability in a Health & Fitness Service. Sponsors are to needed to fund this development work.
